Finding Our Purpose When All Options Are Gone

Constraint is the foundation of self-discovery, pushing us beyond a capability we never thought we had. It forces us beyond our limits toward our true purpose. It is when our options are gone and our chances are limited that the best part of us comes to being, revealing the most meaningful aspects of our lives.

In these moments, we realize we’ve been wasting our time chasing titles, expectations, and undefined desires, rather than living our defined purpose. This purpose has the power to redefine every aspect of our lives, allowing us to feel fulfilled in everything we do.

Nothing is greater than the feeling of having an impact each day, because it is on this path that we become aware of the people, the team, and the world we work with. We stop chasing and start creating meaning, affecting every place we go and every person we meet.

As we accept this path that has been forced upon us, a path that redefines who we were truly capable of being—we become extraordinary and able to change the world. However, when we are given the chance to live our purpose and passion, we must take pride in our work, even if it seems small at first.

Because whenever we take pride in our work, our work will take pride in us. This is because the best we can do is to design every place and story according to our desires and expectations. In tomorrow’s steps, what we create today defines what we must adjust. Whether we watch our lives sleeping or moving forward, the pride we take in ourselves will define the discovery of something greater within us and influence everything around us.

What do we do when we face constraint? When we feel our hard work has been for nothing, when we are forced to fall back on an empty account, and when negativity makes it impossible to see our own worth, what becomes our reaction?

This is a sign that we have found the very place where we are meant to define our greatness. It’s an opportunity to rebuild from a foundation of truth rather than expectation. Each day must be impactful, creating meaning for the people around us and beyond, by focusing on that beyond impact, we fulfill the purpose that has defined our true meaning from our moments of struggle. Because greatness and changing the world are our own unique paths, we must believe in ourselves and trust that we will grow from every small step we take in life.
